Better Education System
Our educational system is designed to produce obedient workers, not active citizens.
To produce active citizens, we should eliminate standardized content and, instead, encourage students' natural curiosity. We should especially encourage them to explore and seek to understand the systems within which they live--their cities, states, country, and international relations. We should have them study and critique our public policies, our laws, our economy, and our system of government. The key tool we should help them use is the scientific method. We should teach them the difference between facts and opinions and encourage them to demand facts to substantiate opinions.

Reintroduce slate and chalk peice culture for 1-3 rd standard. Hope this may save paper and usage of heavy writeing books.
15-20 years back 1-3rd standard students using slate and chalk piece, slowly because of so called modernization and you may call it as high standard same work got transferred to heavy writing books, It is more flexible to handle and teach them free hand writing where below 8 years student tend to do mistakes, Easy to erase and rewrite, This Idea may save the kids from carrying heavy books to his back and Save money to the parents too, I don't see any difficulty in start using slates, its cheaper and Cost effective.

Why the last years results not available as a back up in the system?
Last year my kids results were displayed on Edumerge. This year the entire data is not available. How can we access the last year data.

using tablets instead of textbooks
Most of every one has a tablet and for android and ios tablets there are ncert books app where you get the text books in electronic format and a tablet is more lighter than carrying a 2 kg bag.

Online Class Challanges
Thanks you for the initiative and Appreciate the effort taken to conduct online classes and Tie-up with Cisco for the online classes. While the initiative is good and very essential, few suggestions to be noted.
o Please restrict the number of participants per session, with our organization wide experience, we will have audio challenges if the participants list increases.
o Due to this issue, many time the Audio goes off and we are forced to reconnect using mobile to laptop and vise versa.

A lot of students / parents look in edumerge as to when the homework and ptr (nhg) are uploaded on fridays. You should announce a time when it will be available.

Add English subtitle for Hindi Class
As our mother tongue is not Hindi, it is difficult to teach Hindi for our son.
Moreover the Hindi Teacher is awesome, and she displays lot of charts and practical examples and match the following to make the session more interactive. Would be great if subtitles are also added there4 votes -

Multiple classes in single Platform is not worth
DAV teaching method of online is good initiative. However, students from multiple classes joining in single session is really not controllable. Class supposed to start at 10:00 AM and by 10:25 kids are not settled. In addition, password and other credentials to share 15mins prior to the class which will help students to get settle and session go smooth

Let parents carpool their kids with kids who live around their home and in the same school.
As a logged in user, give a list of 10 kids and the contact number of their parents ,who live in close proximity of my home and will have almost same route from my home to the school.
The parents can then collaborate outside edumerge system and carpool.

Bad system of communication
Whenever you sms saying you have mailed somethings, kindly send an email.
this is what happened to me now without your email, i am really very upset on your system, it is badly managed in your school.U sent a sms saying Fancy dress competition without any theme and didnt send an email inspite of asking repeatedly.
I had arranged him with general theme. today you have sent an email saying tomorrow will be the competition with specific theme. Its really hurting for the parents both r working and there is no time.4 votes -
